بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
وَمَا خَلَقۡتُ ٱلۡجِنَّ وَٱلۡإِنسَ إِلَّا لِیَعۡبُدُونِ
And I (الله) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone).
This verse is the foundation of our existence. Everything we do, including our businesses, should be a means to fulfill this purpose, not distract us from it.
But the online business, personal development, and coaching industries are filled with practices that contradict this verse.
It’s a dangerous world out there, and unless you are aware of what you are being called to, how are you going to protect yourself from it?
The Problems We’re Investigating
Simply put, its these three below:
1. The Coaching Industry
Coaches are playing to your insecurities, and many of them don’t even realize it.
In an industry where you are the problem and you are also the solution, there are many levels of issues at play, والله تعالى أعلم.
The coaching model itself is built on identifying what’s “broken” in you, then positioning the coach as the one who can “fix” you. This creates dependency, inflates egos, and often leads to practices that have no basis in our deen.
2. Online Business Culture
The online business world is filled with manipulation, magic, and the relentless call to money, money, and more money.
Sisters are falling prey to methods that demand they market themselves in ways that compromise their modesty, their integrity, and their sincerity, just to earn.
The entire culture glorifies wealth as the ultimate measure of success, making money an object of worship without people even realizing it. أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
3. Personal Development Modalities
Many of the modalities used in the personal development industry have their foundations firmly rooted in eastern philosophies, magic and religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism. أعوذ بالله
These practices, meditation techniques, manifestation, energy work, chakras, and others, are being packaged and sold to Muslims as “solutions” for their problems.
Even worse, they’re being mixed with reminders of Allaah and verses from Qur’aan, making them appear Islamic when their very foundations contradict our belief in Tawheed.
The Solution: The Qur’aan and Authentic Sunnah
The Qur’aan and Authentic Sunnah are sufficient for the believer.
They are the answer for every issue and problem, whether in health, wealth, relationships, or business.
All we need to do is turn towards Allaah with knowledge and reliance that He can rectify everything.
We don’t need to borrow from the practices of the disbelievers. We don’t need to adopt methods where the origin trace back to shirk and philosophies that contradict Tawheed.
We have our own way and that way is; the guidance of Allaah taught to us by His Messenger Muhammed ﷺ , we have everything we need.
But we must learn it, apply it, and build from it.

Learn About the Problems
We investigate and expose the practices in the online business, personal development, and coaching industries that have become prevalent amongst Muslims.
It’s become so popular that Muslims are teaching these methods to other believers, marketing them as “treatments” and “solutions” for fixing issues in life and business, for becoming financially free, for achieving success.
We’ve seen programs and methodologies packaged up with Islamic terminology, mixed with reminders of Allaah, making people believe these practices are halal when their foundations are haram.
We will expose:
- The specific practices and where they originate
- The coaches and programs promoting these methods
- The business tactics that make money an object of worship
- The modalities that contradict our aqeedah

Based on the research, we will strive to develop solutions grounded in the Qur’aan, Authentic Sunnah, and the understanding of the Salaf and the pious predecessors.
These will not be secular frameworks with religious words added. These will be methodologies built from the ground up according to our deen in shaa Allaah.

My Journey to This Work
As salamu alaykum. I’m Haleemah.
By the Favour and Mercy of Allaah, I’ve been in the online business world since 1997. I’ve watched this space evolve, and in many ways, devolve, over nearly three decades.
When I became Muslim in 2004, I took a step back from that world. Some years later, I learned about coaching and was drawn to the potential it had to genuinely help people.
But in 2019, when I got back into business coaching, I found myself caught in the hype and exposing myself to it all:
- The glorification of money and those who made the most
- Bad manners, swearing, and manipulation presented as “normal business practice”
- Frameworks created by people whose lives bore no resemblance to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
I started questioning: Why are Muslims following people with dark pasts? Why are we adopting practices without investigating their origins? Why are we accepting that “this is just how business is done”?
The more I investigated, the clearer it became: many things in these industries are fundamentally wrong from the perspective of our deen.
Alhamdulilaah more people are starting to question these methods and practices, posting about it and raising awareness, and I’ve had conversations with others who shared the same concerns.
But I noticed something critical: there was no central point of information in English.
No systematic investigation. No comprehensive resource. No development of true alternatives rooted in our deen.
That’s when it became aparent that: this needs to exist.
Our purpose
My Approach
I strive to approach this work as a humble learner, not someone who claims to have everything figured out.
I am not a scholar, I am not claiming perfection in my own business or life.
What I am is:
- Someone blessed by Allaah to see what I’m seeing.
- Someone passionate enough to investigate and ask the hard questions.
- Someone who refers back to the Qur’aan, Authentic Sunnah with the understanding of the sahaba, and scholarly guidance to keep things factual and truthful.
- Someone who refuses to stay silent while Muslims unknowingly follow practices that contradict our deen.
Success in this life is decreed by Allaah. We are all tested, this work isn’t about having everything in perfect order. It’s about doing what needs to be done with sincerity and tawakkul.
And بإذن الله, I’ll continue researching, developing, and sharing what benefits the ummah.
Our Purpose: Protecting the Aqeedah
Our ultimate purpose is for the Glorification of Allaah and to protect the aqeedah of Tawheed.
Everything we do, every investigation, every framework we develop, every service we offer, comes back to this:
Keeping the worship of Allaah pure and free from the practices and philosophies of the disbelievers.
We firmly believe that our lives are for the worship of Allaah, and that our businesses should be a means to aid us in that responsibility, not lead us away from it.
But everything in the mainstream business world calls people to self worship without them being aware of what’s happening.
Many of the people looked up to in these industries are absolutely nothing like the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
This work exists to provide what’s missing: thorough research, halal alternatives, and a central resource for Muslims who want to build businesses that please Allaah.
